What we make
Cocktail Dress manufacturing capabilities
A cocktail dress is a short garment with a long list of decisions. The hem length sets the leg line, the bodice decides how it photographs, and the lining decides whether it survives an evening. It is the category where a small change in length or stretch re-prices the whole style.
- Draped, ruched and wrapped bodices
- Structured mini and midi styles
- Sequin, metallic and glitter fabrics
- Two-piece and co-ord cocktail sets
- Corset-bodice cocktail dresses
- Lined woven and stretch-knit constructions
Constructions
What we build in this category
Each of these is developed as its own programme: its own block, its own interlining and its own sample round.
Length is a pattern decision with a cost
Moving a hem from midi to mini changes the marker, the lining consumption and the trim length. It is quoted as a new style, not as an edit to the old one.
Stretch changes the whole garment
A stretch-knit cocktail dress is graded differently from a woven one. Carrying a woven block onto a stretch shell is how a style ends up with a hem that rides.
Photograph fit is not wear fit
A draped bodice can be pinned for a shoot and still gape when it is worn. We sample on a body, not on the stand.
Inside the work
How these garments get made here
Pattern, sample, construction and material — the four stages that decide whether the finished garment matches the one you approved.

Development process
From reference to bulk in five steps
- 1
Style and length brief
We start from the length, the silhouette and the selling channel, because those three decide the block before anything else.
- 2
Shell and lining together
Shell and lining are sourced as one decision. A stiff lining under a fluid crepe is the fastest way to lose the drape.
- 3
First sample and fit
Cut from your block or drafted from the reference, then corrected on a body. Draped bodices usually take a second round.
- 4
Approval and grading
The approved sample becomes the production reference, with the grade verified against its fit points.
- 5
Production and inspection
Cutting, sewing, pressing and packing against the approved sample, with in-line and final inspection.

Typical questions we ask
- What length is the range — one hem, or a midi and mini split?
- Woven, knit, or both? They need separate blocks and separate grades.
- Is the style repeat-driven? Repeats are where the marker amortises.
