Co-ords

Women's Sets & Co-Ords manufacturing

Co-ordinated sets and corset two-pieces, sold as a unit but manufactured as two garments that must match.

Co-ords

What this category covers

A set is two garments that have to behave like one. The fabric has to come from the same dye lot, the trims have to match, and the two pieces have to grade so that a customer buying one size gets a top and bottom that actually work together — which is not automatic when each piece is graded independently.

  • Corset top and skirt sets
  • Knit co-ords and loungewear sets
  • Blazer and pant tailoring sets
  • Top and short resort sets
  • Occasion two-pieces

How it is built

Construction decisions inside women's sets & co-ords

These are the choices that decide whether the garment works in wear — and they are all made before cutting, not during finishing.

Same dye lot, held as one cutting ticket

Both pieces are cut from one fabric lot and tracked together, so a set is never shipped as a top from one lot and a skirt from another.

Grading is coordinated across the two pieces

The top and the bottom are graded against each other, so the waist position on the skirt still lines up with the hem of the top across the size range.

Packing keeps the set together

Sets are packed as units with matched size labels, which avoids the split-size problem that shows up as a return.

Typical questions we ask

  • Is the set sold only as a unit, or are the pieces also sold separately?
  • If sold separately, which piece drives the volume — that changes the cut plan.
  • Do the pieces need to match an existing style already in your range?
