Custom sits between private label and full development. The starting point is a construction that already works; the work is in changing specific elements and re-confirming that the garment still functions after the change.
This is often the most efficient route to a differentiated product. Changing a neckline, a hem length, a sleeve or a fabric can move a style far enough from its origin that it is genuinely yours, at a fraction of the cost of developing from a blank page.
The catch is that changes interact. A heavier fabric changes how a bodice hangs. A longer hem changes how a skirt behaves. We test the change on a sample rather than assuming it will carry.

How the process works
Stage by stage
- Choose the base
Select a construction from the current range, or supply a reference garment.
- Define the changes
Fabric, colour, length, neckline, sleeve, closure, trims, size range, branding — specify which and how far.
- Feasibility review
We check that the changes work together and flag any that would compromise the garment or the price.
- Revised sample
The changed version is sampled and approved before bulk, because a change that reads well on paper does not always read well on a body.
- Production
Bulk runs to the revised standard, with the updated specification recorded for repeats.
