Ruffle-trimmed V-neckline
The V is cut to depth and a ruffle is set along the edge rather than applied afterwards. Ruffle depth and gather ratio are fixed at pattern stage, because both decide whether the neckline lies flat or lifts away from the body.
Long gathered sleeves
Sleeves are gathered into the sleeve head and set into the armhole, so the volume sits above the arm rather than at the shoulder. The gather has to be balanced left and right or the sleeve hangs differently on each side.
Buttoned cuffs
Cuff depth, button spacing and button size are settled before cutting. On a graded run the buttonhole positions have to line up across every size, so they are placed on the pattern rather than marked at the machine.
Tiered ruffle skirt
The skirt is cut in tiers, each gathered into the one above. Tier depth and gather ratio decide how the skirt falls, and both are settled at pattern stage — adjusting either after cutting changes the hem circumference.
Lightweight textured woven
The body cloth is a lightweight woven with a soft hand and enough texture to carry the ruffle volume. Base cloth and weight are agreed before the fabric is booked, because a stiffer cloth changes how the tiers behave.
Colour matching across tiers
Because the skirt is cut in several tiers, every panel has to come from the same dye lot or the tiers read as different shades in daylight. The shade is approved on a physical swatch before any production fabric is booked.
Neckline, cuff and tier joins in one frame
This is the frame worth reading at development stage. The ruffle depth at the neckline, the cuff closure and the tier joins all have to agree with each other, and each one is decided on the pattern rather than at the machine.

What is the minimum order for this style?
Our standard minimum is 300 pieces per design (100–200 pieces per colour). The figure that usually binds first is the colour one, because fabric is dyed in a batch — so the effective way to start smaller is to reduce the number of colours rather than the number of pieces.
A sample can be ordered on its own first, and is the lowest-risk way to check the neckline ruffle, the cuff and the tier joins before committing to a run.
Can I change the fabric or the colour?
Yes. The base cloth can be substituted and the shade matched to your target, and the size range is graded to your measurements.
Cloth and colour are decided before the fabric is booked, because both change how the garment reads — a stiffer cloth changes how the tiers fall, and the shade has to be approved on a physical swatch rather than on screen.
Does the tiered skirt change how the fabric is ordered?
It changes what you have to allow for rather than how it is ordered. The skirt is cut in several tiers, so every tier has to come from the same dye lot; two lots that look identical on a swatch can read differently once they sit next to each other in daylight.
It also means consumption per garment is set by tier depth and gather ratio, which is why both are fixed at pattern stage. Changing them later changes the meterage.
How long does a first order take?
Sampling runs 7–10 days from tech pack approval. Bulk production runs after the sample is approved against your confirmed specification.
The stage that decides a delivery date is usually the fabric rather than the sewing, so a shade that has to be dyed to match adds time that production cannot recover.
Can I order a sample before committing to bulk?
Yes, and it is the cheapest way to reduce risk on this style. The neckline ruffle, the cuff closure and the way the tiers fall are all things you want to see on a real garment rather than on a photograph.
