Event-driven
Occasionwear manufacturing
Occasionwear runs on a calendar. Prom and homecoming have fixed dates, wedding season is seasonal, and the colour story changes every year. The manufacturing problem is not complexity, it is repetition at speed: the same bodies in twelve colourways, all matching, all delivered before the date.
What this category covers
- Prom and homecoming midi and maxi dresses
- Wedding guest and cocktail dresses
- Bridesmaid and bridal party ranges in matched colourways
- Two-piece occasion sets and co-ords
- Mother-of-the-bride and formal guest styles

How it is built
Construction decisions inside occasionwear
These are the choices that decide whether the garment works in wear — and they are all made before cutting, not during finishing.
Matched colourways are the whole job
When twelve colourways sit on one rail, any drift between dye lots is visible. We plan dyeing per colour, keep a retained swatch of every approved shade, and cut matched colourways from the same lot.
Repeat bodies are pattern-managed, not re-made
Most occasion ranges are three or four bodies dressed differently. We keep those blocks on file so a new colourway does not restart pattern work.
Deadline risk is managed at sampling, not at shipping
Where a date is fixed, the sample schedule is planned backwards from it, so a fit revision does not consume the delivery window.

Typical questions we ask
- What is the date the goods must land, and is it a hard date?
- How many colourways per body, and do they need to match existing stock?
- Which sizes sell first in your market — that tells us where to grade most carefully.
