Fine construction
Lingerie & Sleepwear manufacturing
Lace bralettes, slips, robes and sleep sets, where seam finish and elastic behaviour are the entire product.
Fine construction
Lingerie & Sleepwear manufacturing
In this category the construction is the product. A seam that is even slightly bulky shows through a fine knit; an elastic that does not recover loses the garment within a few washes. Everything is about finish quality and material behaviour rather than silhouette complexity.
What this category covers
- Lace bralettes and soft-cup bras
- Slips, chemises and bias nightdresses
- Robes and kimono wraps
- Sleep sets and pyjama sets
- Mesh and lace bodysuits

How it is built
Construction decisions inside lingerie & sleepwear
These are the choices that decide whether the garment works in wear — and they are all made before cutting, not during finishing.
Seam bulk is engineered out
Flatlock, rolled hem and French seam finishes are selected per fabric so no seam ridge is visible under a fine outer layer.
Elastic is specified by recovery, not by width
Fold-over and plush-backed elastics are chosen for how they recover after washing, because that is what determines the garment's usable life.
Stretch lace has direction
Lace has a stretch direction and a scallop direction. Panels are laid to the correct direction per piece so the scallop edge falls where it was designed to.

Typical questions we ask
- Is this worn as an outer layer or under something? That sets the seam-finish spec.
- What wash testing does your market require before you will list it?
