Untuckit partners with CreateMe to develop first commercially available digitally-bonded T-shirts
New York-based apparel brand Untuckit has partnered with CreateMe Technologies_ a company pioneering automated apparel manufacturing_ to develop the first-ever commercially available digitally bonded t-shirt for men.
The collaboration sees CreateMe using its Pixel bonding and Mera automated assembly process to manufacture t-shirts in the United States with Untuckit. The t-shirts will be made from US-grown Supima cotton_ which is known for its extra-long staple fiber that results in softer_ stronger_ and more color-retaining fabric in comparison to conventional cotton.
The partnership highlights a milestone in the development of digitally bonded appeal made with robotics-based manufacturing at scale. "Partnering with Untuckit accelerates the shift toward a more modern way of making clothes_" said Cam Myers_ founder & CEO of CreateMe_ in a statement.
"Untuckit built its brand by challenging convention_ and this collaboration brings that same mindset into manufacturing. It proves that high-quality apparel can be produced competitively in the United States at scale while giving consumers a better_ more durable product. This is the first of many bonded garments we'll bring to market."
The partnership between the two companies follows a phased commercialization plan_ starting with product development and pilot testing before a wider market launch. The companies aim to scale production to as many as 50_000 bonded t-shirts per year beginning in the third quarter of 2026.
"At Untuckit_ we're always exploring innovations that enhance product performance and the customer experience_" said Bjorn Bengtsson_ chief product & supply chain officer at Untuckit. "CreateMe's adhesive bonding technology opens exciting new opportunities to rethink how we approach apparel construction in a more efficient and responsible way."
As part of its 2026 roadmap_ CreateMe plans to expand bonded apparel production outside of men_s t-shirts into women_s styles and additional variations.
CreateMe's bonding and robotic assembly technology aims to reduce reliance on overseas production_ while supporting more consistent margins and bringing manufacturing closer to consumer demand. As more apparel brands face mounting costs and supply chain challenges_ the partnership underlines how US-based apparel automation manufacturers can potentially match or surpass the efficiency of offshore manufacturing.
