Stitch Fix shares its color prediction for 2026
Stitch Fix_ the online personal styling service_ has shared its prediction for the main color of 2026 in its latest report.
Based on billions of client data points on style and fit_ Stitch Fix_s color for the year for 2026 is chili red. A bold_ bright shade that is said to reflect strong energy and modern sophistication_ this color is predicted to play a key role for consumers.
After the surge of “dopamine dressing” and the rise of “quiet luxury” earlier this year_ consumers are now finding a balance_ pairing timeless essentials with intentional touches of personality_ according to Stitch Fix's report. More than 70 percent of Stitch Fix clients use color to express themselves_ showing a growing demand for shades that feel both wearable and expressive.
Sales of red pieces are already up more than 50 percent as of October 2025_ and Stitch Fix expects demand to keep rising in 2026_ especially in its knitwear and outerwear categories.
More than half of Stitch Fix clients describe their ideal 2026 wardrobe as “elevated basics with bold accents_” and over 60 percent are investing in versatile pieces they can style in multiple ways_ further cementing interest in bright colors.
“Color is one of the easiest ways clients can make a statement and show their personality_” said Amy Sullivan_ Vice President of Buying and Private Brands_ Stitch Fix_ in a statement. “Chili Red is a great color to do this with. It_s bold enough to stand out yet versatile enough to be incorporated into almost any wardrobe.”
Starting this week_ women_s clients of online personal styling service will see Chili Red pieces added to their Stitch Fix Vision galleries_ the GenAI-powered tool that shows personalized images of clients styled in shoppable outfits based on their profile and current trends.
