British fashion label Stella McCartney has unveiled an equestrian collaboration with LeMieux_ for both rider and horse_ which combines luxury fashion with technical performance wear.

McCartney_ a lifelong rider_ states the conscious collection celebrates her love of horses and nature_ while also combining the sustainable vision of the Stella McCartney brand and the technical mastery of LeMieux_ founded by former Olympic event rider_ Robert LeMieux_ and his wife Lisa.

“Horses have been part of my story since before I was born_ and they still bring me joy every single day_” said McCartney in a statement. “Working with LeMieux felt completely natural_ a way to unite my love of riding with my commitment to conscious_ innovative design. This collection showcases sustainability in a modern_ vegan_ cruelty-free approach to equestrian wear_ created with the same integrity and attention to detail I bring to every part of my brand.”

The collection is vegan and responsibly made_ with pieces made with moisture-wicking UV50+ recycled nylon_ organic cotton_ and 100 percent recycled fabric shell materials. It draws inspiration from the bond between human_ horse and the natural world_ and features base layers and breeches designed to celebrate “elegance in motion through refined_ performance-led silhouettes”.

The pieces come in two timeless tones_ navy and lipstick red_ with highlights including a base layer inspired by McCartney_s Miracle Dress_ shaped with flattering lines that contour the body and elevate technical wear_ which has been crafted from moisture-wicking UV50+ recycled nylon and features four-way stretch for ease of movement_ breathable mesh panelling and sleeves with ribbed cuffs.

While sculpting_ high-waisted pull-on breeches have been designed for both comfort and performance_ with mesh side panels_ a subtle silicone knee grip for stability and practical phone pockets.

For the horse_ the capsule collection features a fly hood crocheted in organic cotton to ensure a close_ low-profile fit under the bridle_ and ears in four-way stretch elastane protect the horse from irritation.

There is also a saddle pad_ which comes in both a dressage and classic jump square_ which has been crafted with a 100 percent recycled fabric shell in an exclusive _S-Wave_ quilt pattern_ and a natural bamboo and viscose-blend lining_ which is designed to be “kind to the horse_s coat”. It also has a vegan leather girth protection area with a dual-branded embroidered strap.

LeMieux was founded in 2006 and features products made for riders by riders_ including riding clothing for women_ men and children_ as well as technical saddle pads_ horse wear and blankets. The brand_ which is sold in 90 countries_ has also expanded into toys_ leisurewear and casual clothing_ and has a range of footwear.

The Stella McCartney x LeMieux collection is priced between 49.95 and 99.95 pounds.

Stella McCartney isn't the first fashion brand to expand into the equestrian market. Luxury German brand Hugo Boss launched its Boss Equestrian line in 2023_ designed_ produced and distributed by Bold Equestrian Ltd_ featuring lifestyle fashion for both men and women_ and horse accessories_ while Swedish retailer H&M added All In Equestrian in late 2023_ offering functional stable wear and equestrian-inspired pieces designed to be worn beyond the stables.
