Gabriela Hearst named new ambassador for Save the Children
Uruguayan luxury designer Gabriela Hearst has been named as the newest ambassador for Save the Children_ continuing her ongoing support of the independent organization.
A former trustee_ Hearst will now help raise awareness concerning children_s rights in over 100 countries_ helping ensure children have a strong and healthy start in life.
“We are excited to welcome Gabriela Hearst as our newest Save the Children ambassador_” said Janti Soeripto_ President and Chief Executive Officer of Save the Children US_ in a statement_ “Gabriela is a passionate and outspoken advocate for children—both as a generous supporter of our work and through her years as a Save the Children trustee.”

For the seventh year running_ Hearst has also partnered with Save the Children to support its Children_s Emergency Fund (CEF)_ one of the biggest humanitarian funds in the world that allows the organization to respond to global crises_ offering life-saving aid when needed. From December 1 to December 25_ 100 percent of the net proceeds from her eponymous luxury label_s flagship stores in New York_ Los Angeles_ and London_ as well as online_ will be donated to the fund.

Heart_s connection to the organization first began in 2017 with a visit to programs in rural Kenya. At the time_ she pledged 600_000 US dollars to cover the needs of 1_000 families after witnessing the devastation caused by drought_ launching her debut fundraising campaign and raising the money within two days. Since then_ she has consistently supported Save the Children and contributed to the CEF for seven years.
In addition_ Hearst served on the board of trustees from 2018 to 2025 and is a co-founder of 100 Strong_ Save the Children_s women's philanthropic leadership network.
